Focus Over Diversification
Our competitors have expanded into social media archiving, messaging compliance, and AI-powered analytics — spreading themselves thin across a dozen product lines. We made a different choice. Aleph Archives does one thing: web archiving. We believe that 15 years of focused expertise in a single discipline produces better archives than any generalist platform ever could. When your compliance depends on the completeness and legal defensibility of a web archive, you want a specialist — not a Swiss army knife.
Integrity in Every Archive
An archive is only as valuable as its authenticity. Every web archive we produce is cryptographically signed with SHA-512 and RIPEMD-160 hashes, stored in tamper-evident ISO 28500 WARC format, and preserved on WORM-compliant infrastructure. We do not take shortcuts. We do not produce flat screenshots and call them archives. Our clients trust us with their legal and regulatory evidence — and we treat that responsibility with the rigour it demands.
Independence
Aleph Archives is privately held and self-funded. We are not owned by a private equity firm, backed by venture capital, or pressured by quarterly earnings targets. This independence means every decision we make — from our technology roadmap to our pricing — is driven by what is right for our clients and their archives. We will never pivot away from web archiving to chase a more profitable market. Our clients’ long-term interests are our long-term interests.
Swiss Precision, Global Standards
Headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, we bring a tradition of precision, reliability, and discretion to digital preservation. Switzerland’s strong data protection laws, political neutrality, and reputation for quality align perfectly with the trust our clients place in us. We serve enterprises across six industries in North America and Europe, applying the same meticulous standards to every archive — whether it is a single landing page or a 50,000-page corporate web estate.
Long-Term Thinking
Web archiving is not a short-term project. Our clients need archives that remain accessible, verifiable, and legally admissible for years — sometimes decades. We build our technology, our infrastructure, and our client relationships with this long-term horizon in mind. Several of our clients have been with us for over nine consecutive years. We do not optimise for quick wins. We optimise for archives that will still be defensible in a courtroom ten years from now.
Transparency and Accountability
We believe our clients should understand exactly how their archives are produced, stored, and verified. There is no black box. We document our capture methodology, publish our compliance standards, and provide full audit trails for every archive. If something goes wrong — a capture fails, a page is missed — we report it immediately and fix it. Our clients do not discover gaps in their archives during a regulatory audit. They discover them in our monitoring dashboard, in real time.
Every decision we make at Aleph Archives — from the technology we build to the clients we serve — is guided by these six principles. They are not aspirational slogans. They are the standards we hold ourselves to every day, and the reason our clients trust us with their most critical digital records.
